Where to Take the Kids in Harrogate for a Play Time
The town of Harrogate is filled with fun things for kids of all ages to do with their parents. Children may enjoy slides, swing sets, and climbing in designated municipal parks and garden play areas. Outdoor pursuits like cycling and zipline are great for older kids.

BOLTON ABBEY
The whole family best appreciates the Dales on an old-fashioned steam train. Visit the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. Which operates historic locomotives by taking a trip to Bolton Abbey, about a half-hour drive from Harrogate.

At the same time, most of Camp Hill’s outdoor diversions wind down for the season. Visitors can still enjoy the estate’s grounds on Segway tours and quad bikes.
BEDALE’S BIG SHEEL & LITTLE FARM
Bring the kids to Bedale’s Big Sheep & Little Cow for a taste of the country life that surrounds Harrogate. Even though this valley and its surrounding farms are just around 30 minutes from the city’s heart.
Visit a farm where you may meet the farmers and bottle-feed their newborn lambs, calves, and piglets. This farm has an indoor adventure play area, perfect for kids interested in seeing newborn animals.
